Location of West Ashley

West Ashley is situated to the west of the Charleston peninsula and is separated from it by the Ashley River, hence its name “West Ashley.” It is bounded primarily by the Ashley River to its east and north. It’s connected to downtown Charleston by two main infrastructures: the Ashley River Memorial Bridges and the James Island Connector.
